My latest scent-diction

Posted by shonitay at 5/26/2013 01:45:00 AM 0 comments
It all started with a sale by The Body Shop!
So I checked out online, and was attracted to the Vanilla shower gel because;
1. It was on 50% off at rm14.50
2. TBS shower gels to me were like special indulgence... So once it's on sale, I grab some
I also planed to buy the other shower gel like Raspberry and Passion Fruit, provided that I liked the smell. So after work, I accidentally got myself to a BodyShop outlet to buy them.

At the first sniff, I was blown away! The smell of Vanilla captured my heart and I feel in love with it immediately. However, it was unfortunate that they had only the small bottle there. The bigger bottle was Sold Out! Heart broken, I bought two small bottles, cause I just loved the smell but unwilling to pay so high price for shower gel. I also bought the Raspberry shower gel but left out the passion fruit one. From my choices, it was obvious that I liked sweet scent.

So there I was, sniffing that bottle of shower gel all the way home. I planned to go to another outlet to try look for the bigger bottle Vanilla shower gel but ended up calling every outlet nearby after a light bulb moment! Ta-da! Disappointed that all outlets are out of stock, I called EVERY OUTLET in Selangor/kl, Kluang, Alor Setar, Penang and Rawang... Where there will be people who can help me buy. But I ended up disappointed as well. I even went till the extent of pleading with TBS online people if they can look for me. Finally, reward for not giving up, I found that there are available stock in Kuala Terengganu!!!!! I was so so so happy and told Pingu, practically instructed Pingu to go buy them for me... Of course, I had reserved it ahead! Muahahahhahhahah

So now, I have 6 bottles (250ml) Vanilla shower gel, 2 travel size bottles, and 1 body mist!

I could not control my addiction, that I decided to go look for the EDT/ body mist...
I bought the mist as it was on 20% discount...

And I plan to buy the EDT soon.... Let's see how long this addiction lasts....

P/s; while looking for the body mist, I was introduced to their best selling fragrance range as well.., the Japanese Cherry Blossom... It was sweet..... My next target... :)

had to wake up super early at 6.30am some more!!! how sacrificing!! everyone knows that i cannot wake up early wan!! but for this i dragged my ass up and comforted myself with not one but TWO McD's chicken sausage breakfast!!!! *my true love!!!!

so there we were... on the beach... early in the morning
(forgot to take pic so stole the next two from google)

behind there as you can see is the magnificent Golden Palm Tree Resort...5 star
but if you're going to ask me, i'd say there's nothing special there so better go PD
hahahahahahhahaa.... here's the bird's eye view btw for your reference if you by any chance dont know how a palm tree look like. WTF
below are our tools for the day! any guess what we did there????
no no no... we did not go for swimming...not anything that is linked to worldly enjoyment!
HAH! i knew it! no one will believe me if i have no proof!!!
we were there to do a BEACH CLEAN UP!!
it was a spiritual enjoyment for us! wtf to come in tune with nature and do good things!
not that i'm saying that i was expecting good returns... but for a minimal fee of RM10,
we get a tshirt, body shop goodies bag, lunch and a chance to DO SOMETHING GOOD!!!
that is my hand holding the pencil pretending to write on our rubbish collected scorecard as i was the sexytary of the day! hmmmm...
and the other hand belongs to a local bangla called lee.. who is in charge of rubbish bag and smelly gloves! HAHAHHAHAHAH
btw, it was supposed to be yennee's surprise for lee's birthday if it was not for me, the loud-mouth to bocor the secret on our way there as i was gossiping
hahahhahhaha.. the tshirt they gave was like so small..
this is Raymond wearing XL same like me!! he looks like some gay gym instructor kan??
me and yennee posing after we put on the tshirt
bro sister team... we're a team cause we both had sunglasses on, and wear the same tshirt size and both look stunning! HAHAHAHAHHAH *shameless
lazing around while waiting for the others to arrive...
we were ON TIME but end up feeling like we were there earlier by 1.5 hours!
Malaysian time as usual.. we tried to change, but the environment was not supportive enough!
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA next time no more being ON TIME!
proof that i was there with the backdrop
after collecting 15 kilos of rubbish....
(12kg of dead jelly fish and 3 kg of rubbish!!! *fails)
we proceeded to the Golden Palm Tree Resort banquet hall 1 for our BUFFET lunch!!!
initially we thought they will only give us a packet of nasi ayam each!!
at our table waiting to have our lunch
NAH! proof to u in case u cannot see clearly...

how i spent half a month in a kampung

Posted by shonitay at 7/01/2010 05:39:00 PM 2 comments
Well, as it seems, KT is a 'kampung' to me.. just like what Raub is... but in fact its actually quite big and modern (in building terms) and is on par if not better than Ipoh.

The first thing that i noticed when i spend my first night there was that my nose did not get blocked and for the rest of the 17 days i spent there too!! Perhaps it's due to where i stayed; which is deep in the jungle about 40 mins of 4WD. Hahaha.. i told Ping that people pay a lot to experience the drive into jungle over terrains and slippery muddy hills.. and i was experiencing it for free!

Second is the beautiful night time sky view! it was totally awesome.. my camera could not take any shot for me to prove it here! you have to really got to witness it yourself!! EVERYNIGHT (except when it rains) there will be THOUSANDS of stars.. no no.. MILLIONS of them shinning brightly in the dark sky! when you see them, no matter what, you'll definately smile! i supposed if i lived there during the time when i studied astronomy in school, i would have aspired to be an astronaught and would have been to the moon already! WTF

Third is the benefit of living in jungle is that you would have plenty of natural food! Me calling it natural means it is super duper fresh and healthy! this is where i saw about 30 frogs caught in a cage and ate the most gigantic pair of frog thigh i have ever seen! i have been avoiding this froggy since my mom once did an utterly disgusting smelly froggy soup which haunts me till now..but i tell you, fresh is the KEYWORD! the meat has springy texture and there's no fishy smell AT ALL...nyums...
oh! this is the fish tail.. which belongs to a river fish which was still swimming around in the river some 30 mins ago! wow! super fresh and nice okay!! you feel safe knowing the fact that it lived in the wild and wasn't fed with chicken inner parts!
Fourth is what i do everyday other than eat and sleep! i work.... ah yes, you did read the right thing.. I WORKED at ping's company's office helping them to sort out the company accounts and teaching and guiding Siti, the clerk the hired. I also worked as an 'escort'! HAHAHHAHA!! Day in day out i teman Ping run his errands, going to Terengganu everyday... including of going to morning markets to buy fresh vegetables EARLY IN THE MORNING!! i could not believe it myself also that i managed to wake up early in the morning in time for the early batch of partons of the pasar pagi! now i am a certified HEALTY person!

This is me camwhoring in the car while waiting for Ping to buy stuff and then the sunset captured my attention. Nice right? taken inside the car only.. imagine if u have a DSLR and at the seaside....
Fifth is knowing one unique 'event' that i believe only happens in Terengganu which in my opinion is the stupidest thing someone could ever do that brings no benefit and waste money and pollute the environment!

Every weekend evening, there will be a huge group of malay youngsters that will ride their motorbike in ONE BIG WHOLE BLOODY GROUP around a few main road FOR NOTING!!!POINTLESS!!! WTF!! it causes traffic jam cause these bunch of people are positioned above the law... they don't follow traffic lights, the turn illegally and the do all sorts of 'performance' with their bikes! OMG! from the beginning of the herd of bikers till the last one, you will need to wait 20-30 minutes for them to pass by.. i think there should be about thousands of them!
Six plus three is nine! There are 9 beautiful puppies at Ping's workplace and the are OMFG damn cute okay!! always want to come find u to manja manja!!
this is the fattest among all its siblings ..damn cute
and it's baybee's favorite!! everytime also kena bully wan!! look at its pitiful face! hahaha
not only its the fattest, but it is also so huge that it looked like a bear +lion compared to the others!
ok... the end...
continue next day with a post of 'lak seh' things happened to me..

Mulu Exploration Part 2

Posted by shonitay at 4/24/2010 11:04:00 AM 0 comments
Second day we awake to a freezing room!!! it was like in iceland!!
yennee and me getting ready for the boat ride to our third and fourth cave.
Wanted to be a hero so i sat in front and regretted cause my picture turned out looking like this!

but was glad i took this seat! cause i have full clear view of what's ahead! oh ya btw, on the second day i didn't wear panty hose cause i thought there wouldn't have any pacats as it was clear the day before! so i wore my bola sepak socks instead!
camwhored on the sampan while we waited for out sampan leader
at the Batu Bungan Settlement where i bought some souvenirs home
at the resting area just before the starting point to Clearwater cave.. i didn't go for this caves as we need to climb up and down approx 200 steps! my foot was still so painful after yesterday's session and conquering Wind cave earlier.... plus i was worried that my knees cannot take the pressure and might get hurt again! so i chickened out!
with the rest of the group after their tour... die die also must pose with the signage
oh! the pathetic spa! i mean the signage! i bo song so i place my foot, thumbs down and ugly face to it!
then in the afternoon after lunch, we are scheduled to go for the Long Iman Longhouse village tour..
we took a ride on a sampan for about 45 minutes and we passed by Melinau river and into Tutoh River.. something happened at the area highlighted in yellow

i haven't seen such thing before.... the experience was an eye opener... see the two colours of the river.. this is the interchange. the water does not mix because the current is against each other
back to the resort after a boring visit to a village which has nothing but dogs and dog's shit! we realised that the more ulu a place is, the more expensive are the things sold. logic. but here, the items are produced from the ulu places. so shouldn't the price be cheaper at where it is produced/made? btw, even the airport sells much cheaper items! how to membangunkan the kampung like that???
compulsory photo at the resort's logo...
i was supposed to act like the bird tried to bite my head with this expression, but this is how i look in actual fact cause i accidentaly banged my head on the beaks when i tried to position myself. yennee said FREEZE and snapped this pic
goodbye royal mulu resort!! finally i can go home!
a nice picture at the bridge at the entrance of the resort
i was like sneezing the whole morning and i think i had a bit fever and was feeling really sick upon reaching Miri airport. i ended up sleeping on the chairs in public like a baby!
As we were checking in for our flight home, we saw this notice!
so i guai guai go buy the kek lapis which cost me RM20. this is Kek Lapis Kipas, strawberry, orange, pandan and vanilla flavour

Souvenirs i bought! the top two is from the Bungan settlement all for RM10 and the bottom two is from the airport...earring is Rm6 and belt is at RM30

Mulu Exploration Part 1

Posted by shonitay at 4/16/2010 10:50:00 AM 0 comments
ohiyo!!!! today is a good day!!! my love will be back tonight!! @.
yays!!! i'm floating in the air now dy!!! kakakakkkaakka!:))
since i'm in such a good mood... i'll talk about my Mulu Trip

This is our dinner at Miri Town in one of the recommended shop by 'Miri'ans
~Ming Cafe~
The paku pakis is so nice but the tomyam is not nice at all
The next morning, we were at the airport early in the morning to bord the flight to Mulu
Bored at the airport so we spent our time on the third most useful activities after sleeping and eating
i.e. reading... or to be exact PRETEND to be reading = take pictures!!! WTF
Just before we board the flight, me and yennee hurriedly took a picture of ourselves with the cute plane because this baby was really reallyyyyy cute!
up in the air... 30 minutes flight to mulu... over forest and river... i think that is Sungai Tutoh
this is the smallest airport that i have ever been and it is weird to see everything is done manually in airport. there is no conveyor belts and they just bring your bags and leave it on a table for your collection

upon arrival, we saw two signs presumably is for guests to take photos while they unload the luggages and so being so bright we thought we could use the help of an uncle who was using those big big sophisticated camera to help us take a group photo! wow! his skill was so amazing! he took the most natural picture of us as what you can see above!! no posing, no fake smiles! al naturel!
fed up and still bored, we took some more photos with the beautiful and clean surrounding of the airport... until i found that there was a cute tuk-tuk waiting just outside the main door of the airport from our resort!
so the kiasu me, yennee and meiyun took stupid pictures with it before it gets filled with angmohs
i had a feeling that we would not be able to get to board it as we had some big luggages with us

so we end up riding on a baggage truck....
the weather was good and the sun was shining at its maximum!!
so the puteri lilins got ready with our gears!!
previously i blogged about leeches and how to prevent it here
so we wore panty hose for our first adventure after lunch
me, fully equipped to explore mother nature!!
panty hose - checked
knee support - checked
thick socks - checked
kampung adidas - checked

at the entrance to Mulu National Park...
JC looking scared like a kitten and almost fainted! hahahahha

sometimes i cannot blame humans to be so hamsap
or why people love porn so much
can't blame anyone... its human's nature..
cause mother nature is also so hamsap!!!

don't believe me ah?? ok.. let me prove to you...what our guide told us
introducing... this plant is called "ladies bum"

and this is "lover's penis"!!
any guess why the leaves have so many holes??
no present for correct guesses ok!
oh this is Eugene, our first guide of the day... and the best to me!!
i'm on the top of the JUNGLE!!! Mulu Canopy Skywalk at 480 metres is the longest tree-based walkway in the World and I HAVE CONQUERED IT!! *feels proud*
it's so easy lah like peanuts! ahem!
see my gloves?? i borrowed that dirty old glove my mom used to wear when she made kuih kapit!
recycling is good for mother nature okay and i am playing my part!!!wtf
~use recycled gloves to save the earth!! a community service message from shoni~
the naughty Eugene again spoil my picture... this is supposed to be a victorious picture proving that i have SUCCESSFULLY CONQURED THE LONGEST TREE BASED WALKWAY IN THE WORLD!
me and yennee in Lang's Cave
decided that with our camera, no pics will turn out nice however good we look because of the camera's limitation!

and so we end up taking pictures with signage in a vain attempt to say "i wuz here"
profile of Abraham Lincoln, the late US president who was assasinated in April 1865
This is how Deer Cave looks from the inside...looking so pretty
on the ground, coating the big pebbles are guano, in layman's term
SHIT...in precise, BAT's SHIT.
WTF!!!
damn smelly okay! the smell is so evil, that it slowly penetrates your nose and takes its own sweet time to torture you!!
ahhh... after the ground of terror in shit valley, we got to see a spark of hope
this place we called Garden of Eden... which was actually a garden above the collapsed roof of the cave
get the message?
then we went to the bat's exodus observatory to wait for the appearance of Batman! wtf
ok. here is where we got a chance to see a spectacular sight of the bats on their voyage out to look for food in the evening around 6pm. The amazing thing about these bats is that when they reach the Deer cave mouth, they will make a circle for a few minutes before proceeding out in a wavy single line.
After watching the bats, we walked a LONGGGG WAYYYYY out back to the park headquarters and i thought i almost DIED!! i could smell the flowers at heaven's garden! wtf!!!!
i could not feel my legs attached to my body anymore and my legs were now filled with blisters!!!
so we went back to the resort and had our hearty dinner!! the buffet spread there was good and there was lots of vege dishes which makes it all wonderful again!!
then i made up my mind to a spontanic decision to go for the foot reflexology no matter what is the price to make sure my leg was attached back to my body and i could move it the next day again!
it was hell of a shitty touch that i was truly pissed and ended up relying on 'salonpas' spray..will talk about this in another blog post
