how is dry cleaning done???

having the privillage of being the daughther of a dobi business tycoon (ahems!)
i had the chance to 'get to know' the clothes cleaning industry a little more than others

just like many of you, i always complained about the exorbitant prices of dry cleaning...
and also the reason why we need to dry clean which those people would probabley just dust the clothes and spray some perfume!

well, i was WRONG, and so are many of us.... and now i understand why such high price...

i found the answer to my constant queries by going for a 'dry clean laundry' tour...
thank you to the owners for allowing me to take pic and explain to me...

here, i'll share with you what i know....

this is the machine they use to 'dry clean' your clothes... cost is like abt 150-250 thousand!
they'll put a longgok of clothes into the machine (the black round middle thing is the door)
and the 'chemical' they use cost about 2 thousand per tong! (reusable and its liquid=which i think would be something like alchohol and can evaporate when exposed) which will be put in the first round compartment and the other two is to 'menapis' the chemical...
now you know why they charge so expensive!??!?!? dun complain anymore next time!
then after 'washing'.. the clothes will be placed at this 'dryer/steamer' thing so that ironing will be easier..
then next will be the ironing....

and then packing the clothes with plastic or what we normally call coat/clothes protectorthen voila! your clothes are ready for delivery to your neighbourhood dobi for your collection

Note:
1.'Dobi' found here refers to laundry/laundrette... which is the malay word for it..
2.there are only a few 'dry clean' dobi in a particular region and most dobi that you see outsource to them.. due to the high set up cost

beach activity

last Saturday, raymond, yennee, lee and surprisingly me! went for a uniquely beach experience...
had to wake up super early at 6.30am some more!!! how sacrificing!! everyone knows that i cannot wake up early wan!! but for this i dragged my ass up and comforted myself with not one but TWO McD's chicken sausage breakfast!!!! *my true love!!!!

so there we were... on the beach... early in the morning

behind there as you can see is the magnificent Golden Palm Tree Resort...5 star
but if you're going to ask me, i'd say there's nothing special there so better go PD
hahahahahahhahaa.... here's the bird's eye view btw for your reference if you by any chance dont know how a palm tree look like. WTF
below are our tools for the day! any guess what we did there????
no no no... we did not go for swimming...not anything that is linked to worldly enjoyment!
HAH! i knew it! no one will believe me if i have no proof!!!
we were there to do a BEACH CLEAN UP!!
it was a spiritual enjoyment for us! wtf to come in tune with nature and do good things!
not that i'm saying that i was expecting good returns... but for a minimal fee of RM10,
we get a tshirt, body shop goodies bag, lunch and a chance to DO SOMETHING GOOD!!!
that is my hand holding the pencil pretending to write on our rubbish collected scorecard as i was the sexytary of the day! hmmmm...
and the other hand belongs to a local bangla called lee.. who is in charge of rubbish bag and smelly gloves! HAHAHHAHAHAH
btw, it was supposed to be yennee's surprise for lee's birthday if it was not for me, the loud-mouth to bocor the secret on our way there as i was gossiping
hahahhahhaha.. the tshirt they gave was like so small..

initially we thought they will only give us a packet of nasi ayam each!!

ok. it was miserable for the last two months.

heavily indebted=still surviving
yeng chai got broken into=additional cost
bloody robber stole TAG=no chance to zoom past toll gates and show off to TnG users!
rigorously paying off c/c debt=so not spending money
no spending money=no fancy meals, no entertainment.
no lifestyle=eat chap fan and boil dramas

but in life we must be positive....
so i drew up a budget and maintained to follow it!
i could manage to slot in a trip to KT, pay off insurance installment
also hair treatment package and wedding favours!!!
oooh oohhh....and also for the payment of RM180 for the ji mui's dress!!

owhhh.. not all from my salary alone...
then?? how???

Difficult times are like dark clouds that pass overhead and block the sun.
When we look more closely at the edges of every cloud we can see the sun shining there like a silver lining.
so we all much open eyes BIG BIG so that can see the sunlight!!!! thank God for big eyes... (positive thinking if compared to sepet eyes)
Every cloud has a silver lining means that you should never feel hopeless because difficult times always lead to better days.

i tell you i really couldn't believe myself that God really loved me that much!!!

the TnG value in my card was refunded by the company PROMPTLY!!! exactly 1 month
my insurance payment for the broken window received also in the same time!!!
although i dun see it in my account yet, but the news of it is good enough!
JESUS LOVES ME TIS I KNOW!!!! i♥jesus too!!!

then i get big angpow which is good enough to cover the ji mui dress ♥my aunty!!
then my bro received the laptop that TM is giving free for student
which i am going to sell it off and will get him to buy me a hard disk which i really wanted and NEEDED
and also some secret mission we're doing!! which makes me so damn happy!!! hahahahhaah ♥ my bro!!!

and baybee who has been always supporting me with whatever decision i make and loves me so much!!! ♥♥♥

so my life is full of colour now!! all alive and well... but still chap fan cause i ♥ chap fan and i can pay off c/c!

Minli's Hen's Nite -Before, During and After

The five of us gathered to have a hen's nite for Minah before her wedding

Mike and me gathered at yennee's house in the afternoon as mike had to work in the morning. Poor mike! i think she must have hated the fact that she need to work on Saturdays a lot!
Yennee had just baked the cupcakes when we arrived. So we proceeded to prepare the butter cream for deco and also prepared a surprise for her!

virgin levis

all my life, jeans is to me a thicker pants which is super durable and i only need to wash it 4 times a yeah! HAHA! prices varies... but i find that the quality of the cloth are similar... so i have been buying the cheapest possible jeans that could fit me.

i used to wonder why people but branded jeans and i think it is such a waste of money paying such huge amount for the same thing! until one day, i bumped into Levis warehouse sale...

i tried it out, and i find that it really looked good on me! then that second i understood, that people paid the high prices for the design and fit... macamlah i know about design and fit! haha

so because it is a warehouse sale and prices are like 50% off normal price, i got myself not one but TWO pairs!! i dont know how cheap is it, but i thought i could afford it as i have lost weight and my old jeans are loose... (excuses i give myself for permission to shop)

please tell me if what i bought is worth the money i paid..

Saving Mother Earth

For a few weeks already i have been using MY OWN tupperware as my lunch boxes instead of food polystyrene box ones from the shops which is harmful to our planet.
WOW! amazing isn't it that i have taken the first step into conserving our planet.

raymond's graduation

Last Sunday, I woke up VERY EARLY just for my brother's Graduation Day...

He wanted something big and unique.... so i got up early in the morning and rushed to Petaling Street to buy him a BIG bouquet of sunflower... Bright and cheery; bold yet comfortable.


Uncle Peter was there together with my mom early to be seated in the hall. Look at him... sooo cute!


Hahaha!! Looks as if mama is wearing a mini graduation hat too!!!!! Talking about hats... check Raymond's one out! Hahahahaha!!! Problems that 'big heads' have...The hat could not fit!! He had to hold it together with pins!!!!
There...i was there in time to hand him the big bouquet.... and for being UNIQUE... the big sunflower behind us! It was supposed to be yennee's... well, its plastic.. so we recycled it! Everyone was looking and staring at us... definately unsual!



Yennee was there too... she brought the sunflower and went around TARC to seek memories...
