how is dry cleaning done???

having the privillage of being the daughther of a dobi business tycoon (ahems!)
i had the chance to 'get to know' the clothes cleaning industry a little more than others

just like many of you, i always complained about the exorbitant prices of dry cleaning...
and also the reason why we need to dry clean which those people would probabley just dust the clothes and spray some perfume!

well, i was WRONG, and so are many of us.... and now i understand why such high price...

i found the answer to my constant queries by going for a 'dry clean laundry' tour...
thank you to the owners for allowing me to take pic and explain to me...

here, i'll share with you what i know....

this is the machine they use to 'dry clean' your clothes... cost is like abt 150-250 thousand!
they'll put a longgok of clothes into the machine (the black round middle thing is the door)
and the 'chemical' they use cost about 2 thousand per tong! (reusable and its liquid=which i think would be something like alchohol and can evaporate when exposed) which will be put in the first round compartment and the other two is to 'menapis' the chemical...
now you know why they charge so expensive!??!?!? dun complain anymore next time!
then after 'washing'.. the clothes will be placed at this 'dryer/steamer' thing so that ironing will be easier..
then next will be the ironing....

and then packing the clothes with plastic or what we normally call coat/clothes protectorthen voila! your clothes are ready for delivery to your neighbourhood dobi for your collection

Note:
1.'Dobi' found here refers to laundry/laundrette... which is the malay word for it..
2.there are only a few 'dry clean' dobi in a particular region and most dobi that you see outsource to them.. due to the high set up cost

we went to melaka for his birthday trip!!!!

pingu so deserves it cause he was damn exhausted the previous days...
so he spend his birthday and the days around it LAZING, SLEEPING, EATING, EATING, and meeting up with one of his BESTEST FRIEND!!!
such perfect planning from a prefect sweetheart...ahem... ME!

we ate best nyonya curry me, nyonya nasi lemak, best local popiah ♥, wonderful liong sui, nice steamboat, some roadside satay, burger and.... oh... mille crepe cake!!!♥♥♥♥♥
OMG!!superlicious lor!!! (wanted to tapau for pineapple but it was CLOSED on MONDAY!! poor girl...)

wahhahahhaha but i was such an idiot... the hotel gave me these parking tickets but i chose to display it daily (not one shot) cause i needed time to think of how i could maximise my usage time! FML! how 'clever'!! (you need to scratch the relevant numbers indicating the date and time it is for)...

then i end up forgetting to put it on the second night for my last day and i kena SAMANed!
damn it... and i ignored it and kept it in the drawer! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

what to do when you are in need to be in touch with people through one of the most convenient forms of communication tool i.e. handphone?
and imagine if you are stucked in some jungle with no human contact or even access to humanity..

reasons to it was that i heard that the 'antena' to our standard phones is placed at the bottom of our phones and hanging the phone like that increases the signal strength...
any proof for this? me no idea..

somewhere near Christmas time, i was in desperate need to buy a serum for my face as my complexion was quite bad due to many reasons...

and the serum which captured my heart was Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair which was heavily advertised in all reading material i read.... and of course i went to the forums and found many good reviews for it. i had also used it for a few nights when i received a sample from the SA when i bought their cleanser and i find it good.I checked the price for it and i found it way above my budget given financial situation at the moment... so i searched high and low for a solution to this and insisting on not giving up the hope to try out the serum..

then i bumped into this site called BestBuy World where i could purchase sample size serums at reasonable prices. WOW!!! how can there be such good deals that chance upon me when i am so broke??? unbelievable!!! so i tried out and bought some items and got then to deliver to my house where i would pay them cash upon receiving the items! (just to test them and see if they;re really true and sells real stuff or not)
the above are my first purchases from them and i supposed there will be more coming soon as fredonia had taken one bottle of my ANR to try out too!!!

this site is abosolutely faboulous giving me chance to try out products and also purchase smaller packages at lower prices during my financial crisis moment.

However, i have thought about the morality of me buying and the company selling "FREE" sample products which i would eventually get when i purchase from the counters.

Still, its like a lifeline for me, while i pull through this period of my life...
and i reckon it could be a good place to try out new products!

christmas cravings

i know chirstmas is over now and but i still wanna be in Christmas mood! i love christmas!!!

there is always one thing that i have always wanted for and to try out for Christmas every year but i did not get to materialise my dream until this Christmas...

Come Chirstmas, all the bakeries/shops/supermarkets will start selling cute and pretty delicious looking Christmas Logs. i never knew how it tastes like but i could guess it would be chocolate from the look and all i know is that its SUPER PRETTY!!!

so this Christmas, my brother mentioned about it and we decided to buy one for our family this time!!! now i know how Christmas Log tastes like and i tell you, its really pretty..
