I had my uncle's bread maker with me for quite some time already... I had a few rounds of more unsuccessful than successful attempts of baking bread loaves. I had always wanted to bread buns... And I finally got the chance to do it during our king's installation! Thankiew Tuanku!
So we started with the basic hot dog buns! we used the Chinese sweet bun recipe so it will taste like the familiar pasar malam childhood buns that everyone loved

Loved the taste of baked mayonnaise! I never liked mayo in its original taste.. But baked mayo is super nice lor... And it just goes so well with bread.... Mmmmmmm.... Yummy!!!
Prepared the char xiu liu... But it's just enough to do about 12 buns.. So we decided to made sugar butter buns as well just because we have lots of butter and we loved it as well

Of course it looks nice and delicious, unfortunately I have to say we failed on our second round. We tried two recipes. The first came out okay but it's still not that good and the second was a total failure! The buns turned out hard as rock and did not even rise! More of a cookie then fluffy soft bun! :(
So that's our baking spree and we've decided to stick to the first recipe and will improve from there.
All I need to do now is to buy a new oven.
