What a week!

Posted by shonitay at 5/19/2009 12:32:00 PM 1 comments
Last week was an eventful week for me. There were sad moments, cheated moments, angry moments, happy moments and sweet moments. Praise God that it ended in a sweet note.

1. A tribute to Aunty Choo Choo

Kow Mou left to be with the Lord on Monday evening. It was a shock to all of us. However, Praise the Lord that Uncle Peter, Joann and Ruxen was all at her side when she left. Now, I know that God will take good care of her…and I dreamt that she was having a jolly good time now SHOPPING in heaven! It’s true… I really did dream of that!

She was one very unique aunty… she embraces beauty… love, care and fairness. She is one of the almost extinct aunties in my family that believes in listening to the younger generation’s say also. I fondly remember her scolding us and nagging us for being naughty… but I remembered most was the OPPRTUNITY that she gave us to voice our opinions and to say what we have in mind. And she WOULD LISTEN. If we speak of the truth, she would acknowledge it.

She was like a second mother to me… I can speak to her about anything under the sun. We will go for outings, travel, climbing mountains, balik kampong and trying new restaurants together sometimes. I will miss her dearly and pray for her soul to rest in peace.

I found a poem in one of the quote sites which I find it very nice and sweet… and I think if kow fu reads my blog, he would dedicate this to you!! This is for you… kow mou..

I think of you often
and make no outward show,
But what it means to lose you,
no one will ever know
You wished no one farewell,
not even said good-bye,
You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.
You are not forgotten
nor will you ever be,
As long as life and memories last,
I will remember thee.
To some you may be forgotten,
to others a part of the past,
But to me who loved you dearly,
your memories will always last.
Nothing can be more beautiful
than the memories I have of you.
To me, you were someone special,
God must have thought so too!
If tears could build a staircase
and memories a lane,
I would walk all the way to Heaven,
and bring you back again. -Anon

2. Gong-gong hospitalised

Gong-gong got admitted due to infection of gallbladder… why?? Ate too much corn!! Note: he is toothless!! So had to visit him in hospital every now and then... cheering him up.. making jokes…

3. No need to go Kuantan

Yeay!!! Thank God that I don’t need to go to Kuantan. This time, I dreaded the idea that I have to forgo my tickets to see ping2 to work in Kuantan AGAIN! I didn’t want to go Kuantan. Yeah! Finally, I got permission not to go! Praise God!

4. Got cheated by McD

In KL sentral… to board Sky bus to LCCT… felt a hunger alarm so,
-Went to McD
-Ordered Fillet-O-Fish
-Requested for NO sauce (I hate sauces especially mayonnaise)
-Being greedy, requested for EXTRA cheese! Yummy! (dunno what is it wit McD’s cheese, its just different)
-Paid money.
-In the bus, when I want to eat, to my horror......this is what I saw!!!!!
WTF!!!! WHERE’S MY CHEESE???????? NOT A SINGLE BIT OF CHEESE!!!

Can I claim back two slices of cheese from McD?

5. Spent the weekend with ping2

Missed him so much! When I saw him, all kesedihan, all kerisauan, all kemarahan, all negative things all *woosh* HILANG! Wahahhaha!!! So good!

Visited and stayed at his workplace… The journey in to the jungle is so exciting. Up and down hill, over rivers… no need to go for those 4x4 jungle excursion already! Hahahhaha! So dangerous especially during raining time… the road is so slippery.. the 4WD seem to be like boat on the sea when cruising over the mud UPHILL!

His room was in a terrible mess! Guys!! Omg!! I spent the whole afternoon clearing up his room! If I don’t do that, I don’t think I will be able to sleep in there! Dirty buffaloes!

Ping’s mom was the cook there, thus I spent most of the time chit chatting with her. Later in the evening, ping’s dd came home from work and proudly show off his ‘ginger duck’ cooking to me… I think I have mastered the skill just by watching him cook and asking loads of questions!! Ehem!! (clap clap!!) Then ping’s mom also thought me how to cook ‘water egg’… and I think I know how to cook them already… I am a fast learner, ok!

So I ended up having wonderful and delicious food there!! I thought at first I would be starving and surviving on maggi only! Hahahaha..

i am planning to practice what i learned next week! anyone wants to be guinea pig??

6. Returning to KL

I hate this moment the most. I always end up like a cry baby! I hate to part with him and had to say good bye. The moment I can’t see him already, I started to miss him! And I started to count the days that I will be able to see him again!!!

Birthday wish

Posted by shonitay at 5/06/2009 10:04:00 PM 1 comments
Please say…

“I wish that Shoni will be slimmer and always pretty. Amen.”
(Deep down inside, I knew she would not and would wish for world peace in retaliation…)

Instead, she said…. “I wish that I will forever be thinner than Shoni!”

WTF.

It’s ok… I don’t mind being just 500gms more than 45kg!
Anyway, I think I will be happy if I can touch any number that BEGINS with 5!
YN: Proudly showing off her ASSETS.. head held high up!!
SN: Shock! Envy until eyes also turned flashing RED!!
SY: Wow!! Must be de-li-ci-o-us!!!
CS: (try to poke SY eyes) Hey!! That’s for me to view ONLY!!

SMILE everyone! (Note: CS still can't get his EYES off !!)

Happy Birthday Yen Nee!!!

Are Your Friends Here for a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime?

Many of us are fortunate enough to have friends who are a consistent part of our lives throughout all our ups and downs. However, sometimes others we consider friends appear to enter, then depart from our lives for reasons we try to, but don't always, understand. This piece nicely explains the flow of people in and out of our lives.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.

Then people come into your life for a SEASON, b ecause your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons: things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

I MUST be VERY VERY FORTUNATE!!!
