Adidas Warehouse Sale 29-31 May 2009

Posted by shonitay at 5/29/2009 02:01:00 PM 0 comments
I was around Atria Shopping Complex this morning when I was surprised that the normally quiet place was packed with cars. It took me half and hour to find a parking… I did not actually find one… I actually got frustrated and complained to the guard and he ended up allowing me to park by the curb illegally.

While I was doing my errands, I was telling myself…
“Why was it so packed? Would it be… the Adidas warehouse sales I saw yesterday? So cheap meh? Sure ah? I better not go for it…Times are bad”.

Once I am done with my work, I told Syam, who was helping me…
“Jom, kita pergi tengok sikit… mungkin sangat murah…”
Damn! How come the words just come out like that???? I didn’t mean to say that!!!!!

So into the complex we went. Then we saw this.
I was wondering why.
I asked a guy, “mau beratur punya ah??”
He said… “yala.. banyak panjang oh…”
Immediately, we turn to leave the place… cause I am supposed to be working.. not shopping!

Out of my curiorsity, I went and see how long the queue was…
Omg! It was until the other end of the complex building!! And that was like about 10.45 am only! Crazy! These people are really crazy… do they still have anything left for the person at the end of the queue to buy? Call me kiasu or whatever, but I think I enjoy the mess of fighting and digging for stuff.. it’s the thrill…
and i think i miss the thrill for quite some time... hmmm..? (hand feels itchy)
I imagine how terrible was it to stand right at the end of the queue…
and thinking people shopping nicely inside…
and watching people carrying bags of purchases out.
The things I wanted could be in one of the bags!!! TORTURE!
Why don’t I have the chance to fight for what I want???
So, I choose not to got for it and went back to work.
–boring-

Warehouse sales are girls best friend!

I lurveeeee warehouse sales. <3
It’s a place where I can get crazily great bargains….buy quality stuff at very special price.
There are many BENEFITS of warehouse sales. Let me share with you some of it:

1.Feel privilaged
* For being able to own some of the item I would not be able to afford to buy if its at some normal discount.
2. Sense of achievement
*I enjoy the look of disappointment in the other shoppers when they realized that I got the last piece! Wonderful.
3.Ultimate Joy
*I like it after a hard search….voila!!! I found my size… my colour… or the right one!
4.De-stress
*A very effective one! When you are in there, all trouble, all worries, all sadness… just magically disappears.
5.Planning
*It teaches you how to focus… and do effective PLANNING.... What time u need to get there? Payment method? What to pick first? Which section to go first? Any accomplice? Back up plan? Whoa… damn lots of work!
6.Good exercise
*It all starts with your heart… it keeps your adrenaline pumping.. makes you feel exited…
*then you warm up be getting yourself to the place… looking for parking (eyes), walking (real fast.. Malaysians all kiasu..), grumbling cause took so long to find parking..(mouth)
*full body workout is when you reach the place.. your whole body works magically together effortlessly when you have to push your way in and grab all you can! Eyes, mouth, ears, arms, fingers, legs… everything… wondering why the ear? Hahaha! To listen to what people say.. there could be potential good pick that you can get…
7. Satisfaction
*After a hard day’s work… at the end of the day… when you look at the bags and bags of purchases you make… you get a sense of satisfaction… and peace all over you… when you suddenly feel like you have completed a cross country marathon.

Side effect: Only will be felt the next day when your happiness have calmed down.. and when you begin to realize the amount of $$$ spent. However, many still find this effect a non hazardous one.

I hate the first half of 2009!

Posted by shonitay at 5/25/2009 05:36:00 PM 0 comments
WTF!!!!

I am going to decide not to book and arrange for trips with many people liao!!!!
I hate it when they tell me they can’t go.. for whatever reasons!!!
I have no grudge against the person, but I hate to receive such news!!!
I hate it most if the fellas never feel guilty or sorry at all!!!
or even have the basic courtesy to be bothered to INFORM!
The most I hate are the bosses who think only of their bloody fucking business and never considered people already PAID money for it!!!
Annual Leave is for us to use and not for the boss to decide when we use it!
>_<
I hate it most because of this..... I am not allowed to go!!!!!
Damn!!! WTF!!!

i pray that the second half of the year will be better... ALL TRIPS jadi!!

What a week!

Posted by shonitay at 5/19/2009 12:32:00 PM 1 comments
Last week was an eventful week for me. There were sad moments, cheated moments, angry moments, happy moments and sweet moments. Praise God that it ended in a sweet note.

1. A tribute to Aunty Choo Choo

Kow Mou left to be with the Lord on Monday evening. It was a shock to all of us. However, Praise the Lord that Uncle Peter, Joann and Ruxen was all at her side when she left. Now, I know that God will take good care of her…and I dreamt that she was having a jolly good time now SHOPPING in heaven! It’s true… I really did dream of that!

She was one very unique aunty… she embraces beauty… love, care and fairness. She is one of the almost extinct aunties in my family that believes in listening to the younger generation’s say also. I fondly remember her scolding us and nagging us for being naughty… but I remembered most was the OPPRTUNITY that she gave us to voice our opinions and to say what we have in mind. And she WOULD LISTEN. If we speak of the truth, she would acknowledge it.

She was like a second mother to me… I can speak to her about anything under the sun. We will go for outings, travel, climbing mountains, balik kampong and trying new restaurants together sometimes. I will miss her dearly and pray for her soul to rest in peace.

I found a poem in one of the quote sites which I find it very nice and sweet… and I think if kow fu reads my blog, he would dedicate this to you!! This is for you… kow mou..

I think of you often
and make no outward show,
But what it means to lose you,
no one will ever know
You wished no one farewell,
not even said good-bye,
You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.
You are not forgotten
nor will you ever be,
As long as life and memories last,
I will remember thee.
To some you may be forgotten,
to others a part of the past,
But to me who loved you dearly,
your memories will always last.
Nothing can be more beautiful
than the memories I have of you.
To me, you were someone special,
God must have thought so too!
If tears could build a staircase
and memories a lane,
I would walk all the way to Heaven,
and bring you back again. -Anon

2. Gong-gong hospitalised

Gong-gong got admitted due to infection of gallbladder… why?? Ate too much corn!! Note: he is toothless!! So had to visit him in hospital every now and then... cheering him up.. making jokes…

3. No need to go Kuantan

Yeay!!! Thank God that I don’t need to go to Kuantan. This time, I dreaded the idea that I have to forgo my tickets to see ping2 to work in Kuantan AGAIN! I didn’t want to go Kuantan. Yeah! Finally, I got permission not to go! Praise God!

4. Got cheated by McD

In KL sentral… to board Sky bus to LCCT… felt a hunger alarm so,
-Went to McD
-Ordered Fillet-O-Fish
-Requested for NO sauce (I hate sauces especially mayonnaise)
-Being greedy, requested for EXTRA cheese! Yummy! (dunno what is it wit McD’s cheese, its just different)
-Paid money.
-In the bus, when I want to eat, to my horror......this is what I saw!!!!!
WTF!!!! WHERE’S MY CHEESE???????? NOT A SINGLE BIT OF CHEESE!!!

Can I claim back two slices of cheese from McD?

5. Spent the weekend with ping2

Missed him so much! When I saw him, all kesedihan, all kerisauan, all kemarahan, all negative things all *woosh* HILANG! Wahahhaha!!! So good!

Visited and stayed at his workplace… The journey in to the jungle is so exciting. Up and down hill, over rivers… no need to go for those 4x4 jungle excursion already! Hahahhaha! So dangerous especially during raining time… the road is so slippery.. the 4WD seem to be like boat on the sea when cruising over the mud UPHILL!

His room was in a terrible mess! Guys!! Omg!! I spent the whole afternoon clearing up his room! If I don’t do that, I don’t think I will be able to sleep in there! Dirty buffaloes!

Ping’s mom was the cook there, thus I spent most of the time chit chatting with her. Later in the evening, ping’s dd came home from work and proudly show off his ‘ginger duck’ cooking to me… I think I have mastered the skill just by watching him cook and asking loads of questions!! Ehem!! (clap clap!!) Then ping’s mom also thought me how to cook ‘water egg’… and I think I know how to cook them already… I am a fast learner, ok!

So I ended up having wonderful and delicious food there!! I thought at first I would be starving and surviving on maggi only! Hahahaha..

i am planning to practice what i learned next week! anyone wants to be guinea pig??

6. Returning to KL

I hate this moment the most. I always end up like a cry baby! I hate to part with him and had to say good bye. The moment I can’t see him already, I started to miss him! And I started to count the days that I will be able to see him again!!!

Birthday wish

Posted by shonitay at 5/06/2009 10:04:00 PM 1 comments
Please say…

“I wish that Shoni will be slimmer and always pretty. Amen.”
(Deep down inside, I knew she would not and would wish for world peace in retaliation…)

Instead, she said…. “I wish that I will forever be thinner than Shoni!”

WTF.

It’s ok… I don’t mind being just 500gms more than 45kg!
Anyway, I think I will be happy if I can touch any number that BEGINS with 5!
YN: Proudly showing off her ASSETS.. head held high up!!
SN: Shock! Envy until eyes also turned flashing RED!!
SY: Wow!! Must be de-li-ci-o-us!!!
CS: (try to poke SY eyes) Hey!! That’s for me to view ONLY!!

SMILE everyone! (Note: CS still can't get his EYES off !!)

Happy Birthday Yen Nee!!!

Are Your Friends Here for a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime?

Posted by shonitay at 5/05/2009 12:26:00 PM 1 comments
By Anonymous @ http://www.learningplaceonline.com/
Many of us are fortunate enough to have friends who are a consistent part of our lives throughout all our ups and downs. However, sometimes others we consider friends appear to enter, then depart from our lives for reasons we try to, but don't always, understand. This piece nicely explains the flow of people in and out of our lives.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.

Then people come into your life for a SEASON, b ecause your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons: things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

I MUST be VERY VERY FORTUNATE!!!
